Dating rules and modern relationship zeitgeists are constantly changing, and everyone is just trying to figure it out as they go. But despite how frustrating it can be, for some asinine reason, people love to promote and constantly bang on about these dastardly boring, and cliched dating tropes. It’s like trying to assemble IKEA furniture without a manual — parts and people come together in baffling combinations, and you’re left wondering if the end result will look anything like what you had in mind.

Every other day I’m hit with some god-awful tik tok/Youtube dating advice from someone who keeps choosing poor partners, so they cast a wide net on the behavior of all species of that gender. If you trip over the same rock twice, you cannot blame the path.
