Can You Just Admit You Chose Poorly?

Every day I read articles or watch videos of people who have been emotionally hurt by past relationships.

  • They were cheated on.
  • Emotionally abused
  • Gaslighted into doubting their own perceptions and feelings.
  • Manipulated for the personal gain of their partner.
  • Neglected, with their needs and desires persistently ignored.
  • Embarrassed by their partner.
  • Disrespected through consistent breaches of trust.
  • Constantly criticized, leading to erosion of self-esteem.
  • Kept in a state of anxiety through unpredictable behavior and mood swings.
  • Subjected to relentless control and possessiveness.
  • Exposed to toxic behavior patterns that poison the relationship.

The list goes on! All of these things are terrible, and I feel so sorry for people that had to go through even one bullet point. It sucks when you’re with someone like that — having been through a few myself. It feels awful.
