I love watching dating shows, reality tv dating shows, rom-coms, and intersexual dynamic shows, and I read an abundance of books about dating, relationships, and marriage. What I’ve learned is much like the fancy algorithm of the latest digital app. Most facets or attractions can be predicted and foreseen in the future.

If you know the basics of human psychology and biological reactions. You’ll be able to have a better understanding of where you stand and the most likely outcomes on the balance of probabilities when it comes to dating.

Let’s start with the obvious.

Men are More attracted to younger women

I never get the modern outrage and the clutching of pearls with this age-old fact. Most men date younger women and want to date younger women. It’s nothing new. But most recently, Leonardo Dicaprio and other celebrities dating younger women have people virtue signaling and swearing that dating someone your own age is better. They argue that it’s about control and manipulation.

If two people are in a consensual relationship, mind your business and stay miserable. Let people live. I’ll never understand the vehement concern for other people's romantic lives.

A study done by OkCupid on men between the ages of 18 to 40 found that overwhelmingly men preferred women between the ages of 20 to 24.

Evolutionary biologists argue that this is due to biological factors such as fertility, as women are the most fertile in their early twenties. So most men can’t really help that attraction even if they wanted to. This is the reason why men tend to find younger women more attractive. Attraction from men starts to decline as women typically get older.
