“I tried to speak to her and got completely embarrassed!”
Ugh, I was considering not writing this, but I figure if I get it out there, you guys can share my embarrassment and feel the cringe as if you were there!
I still wince whenever I think about the rejection I received.
Most of you who follow me know how much I hate pick-up lines, and this is why. Pick-up lines are not bad by any means. But they’re very limited with where you can use them. They’re high risk and high reward, sure. But it doesn’t really go past that.
For example, imagine using the same line you used at your local bar/pub/club on a girl working on her laptop at Starbucks. It won’t yield the same results, trust me.
Yes, I’ve been guilty of this mistake. Picture the scene. There’s a coffee shop called Beans and Brews in SLC. It’s a Monday; I’m still living off the high of the weekend and having a bunch of successful approaches. I’m still in the process of building up my self-esteem and have been single for about eight months at this point, and I feel like I’m cock of the walk.
