Self Publishing my first book: Day 45 The Self Publishing Community

It’s been an interesting week. In my quest to learn a lot more in the independent writing space. I decided to join a few Facebook groups.

Oh boy.

Yeah, I have some tea to spill that’s for sure.

The first group and the one I’ve been most engaged with has been the “Amazon independent Authors and Low Content Books” group. At first, it was cool and the first few days of the week were very enjoyable then something fairly usual sprung up. I started to see it quite a bit as the days went on. I would get more notifications cause Facebook realized this was a group I took a liking to.

What I started to see quite frequently were these faceless profiles with either some weird anime character or meme or a picture of something that essentially wasn’t the person behind the screen. They were very clearly a profile with little to no friends on Facebook. They would post a screenshot of seemingly no sales and then boom!
