Self-Publishing My First Book Day 8: Getting into the weeds

Having a 5–9 side hustle isn’t easy. That’s evident for the number of days I’ve missed with respect to this online journal project that’s I’ve procrastinated for the last 4 days.

So what have I done in the last 4 days?

It’s actually been really fun.

I got deeper in the weeds with my dating workbook. I’m actually working with a designer and she has some brilliant ideas about how it could look. The idea is a different theme for each task the person has to perform to get them closer to finding their match.

We’re going to tag team. She with some of the title pages and me with the actual text and design around the activities. I think every book I write there will be an application workbook. There’s something very satisfying about writing things down and then being happy you’ve accomplished it!

I also got really really into the weeds with Amazon PPC. And I love it. I’m learning about “exact matches”, “loose matches”, “long tail” and “short tail” keywords It’s actually a lot of fun. I finally had enough days of data to figure out what people were looking for when my book came up…
