These are some of the worst dating takes I think I’ve ever heard.

Ah, social media. Full of rage bait. Full of clout chasers and full of people “trying to build a platform” based on nothing but misinformation, no scientifically backed opinions, and utter trite bullshit.

In the last few weeks, I’ve come across some BS on social media, the web, and Reddit. Here are some of the worst I’ve heard so far and why I think it’s destructive.

1. “There’s is no reason for the dating stage to be more than a month.”

The argument here is that if someone needs that much time to decide they’re not into you, then they’re not as obsessed with you as they should be.

Weird.

First off, no one should be obsessed with anyone that my friend is a different level of infatuation, which has some natural elements that can’t always be avoided. But obsessed? Who are these people craving this much attention?

They should have high levels of interest, yes. But not obsessed.
