What’s the reward of intimacy if there’s nothing close to commitment?

Sex is an incredible thing. It’s how you got here.

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned over my lifetime, it’s that intimacy can never truly be rewarding unless it’s accompanied by commitment.

Often times people shout to the highest volume that this isn’t true to make themselves feel better. But even if it feels very good at the time after the fact. There is a point in the day where you might be questioning your own character and who you are as a person.

Because intimacy should be tied to some kind of commitment; if not, then you're just being used, and yes, you could swear you’re using them too. But what does that say about both of your characters?

The casual nomenclature of sex has changed everything.

Now we’ve all heard the cliche of men just wanting only to hook up. Times have changed, my friend. It’s not just men anymore. Women are interested in hooking up, too, granted they’re a lot slicker about it. But the sexes have never been more equal regarding similar dating behaviors. In fact, women are having more sex than men currently.
