Who should really pay for the first date!?

It’s a fantastic evening. She’s smiling and laughing at your jokes. He’s telling you how much he loves your outfits and you both vibe of your favorite books. The air is clean and crisp, the server has been an absolute gem, the waiting line to get in was barely 3 minutes and you really like this person. You have both successfully navigated the first date and you’re feeling great, no drama, no creepiness, and it’s been dope as hell. Then all of sudden…

The check comes.

Oh shit. The brilliance of this last hour or so is about to be muted by a couple of seconds of awkwardness about who’s getting the check! Who’s paying for the date!

Have things really changed?

It’s 2022. Who’s all for gender equality?

I would hope that everyone shouts at the screen! “Yes I love me some equality,’’ If that’s the case great read on. If it’s not the case, then jog on!

But in 2022 gender equality still has a long way to go. Fear not though we have taken some massive steps forward. We have more women in congress than ever before. Even the women in congress are diverse too, black, LBGT…
